Miami-Dade
Intergroup has voted to accept 7th Tradition contributions
online, using the popular and secure Pay Pal service to process transactions.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Intergroup Office. Thank you!
TRADITION 7 states:
"Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside
contributions."
This means that we must respectfully decline contributions from
people outside of A.A.
Please read the long form of our 7th Tradition below.
Of course you can also mail your contribution to us at the Intergroup Office
7th Tradition, long form states: "The A.A. groups themselves ought to be fully supported by the voluntary
contributions of their own members. We think that each group should soon achieve this ideal; that any public
solicitation of funds using the name of Alcoholics Anonymous is highly dangerous, whether by groups, clubs,
hospitals, or other agencies; that acceptance of large gifts from any source, or of contributions carrying any
obligation whatever, is unwise. Then too, we view with much concern those A.A. treasuries which continue,
beyond
prudent reserves, to accumulate funds for not stated A.A. purpose. Experience has often warned us that
nothing can so surely
destroy our spiritual heritage as futile disputes over property, money and authority."
Terms and Conditions
1) Donations can be accepted only from members of
Alcoholics Anonymous. 2) By this donation, you certify that you are a member of A.A. 3) You also acknowledge that the annual donation limit from individuals
to A.A. is $3,000.
Donations details
Your Miami-Dade Intergroup carries out the tasks of Alcoholics Anonymous that cannot be done by any single Group.
Your tax-deductible contribution to Miami-Dade Intergroup is a gift that helps carry the message to recovering alcoholics and the alcoholics who still suffer.
Miami-Dade Intergroup is where many alcoholics make their first contact with A.A., where thousands of A.A. members and prospective members call or log on our Website for meeting information.
Your Central Office produces and distributes meeting directories, manages this A.A. Website, sells A.A. conference-approved literature, and provides service materials throughout Miami Dade County, prepares a monthly newsletter, sends out flyers helping groups in need of support among other services.
The bottom line: we need to keep attracting practicing alcoholics by saying, "Here's how to reach us. If you have a drinking problem, we are here for you. You will find help here." For your convenience, you can now make secure donations by your credit card directly from this Website. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are making a group donation, please specify your group name and number in the "comments" portion of the donation page.
